Boat Description

Luxurious enclosed bridge is now available on Bertram's flagship 670 Convertible. The new 670 Enclosed Bridge model offers all the same tournament-level fishing features as the open bridge 670, including cockpit bait prep center, freezer, live well, fish boxes and trolling valves. No finer bluewater sportfishing convertible is available. Bertrams are built to battle big seas that stop other boats in their tracks. The 670's legendary Bertram Deep-V hull has been refined to not only slice through oncoming waves, but to also offer increased stability, better lift and straighter tracking. Sleek, sophisticated styling makes the 670 Enclosed Bridge the most eye-catching sportfishing yacht of its type. The enclosed bridge has been seamlessly melded into the flowing lines of the superstructure so that it enhances, rather than detracts from, the boat's appearance. The unique curved staircase from the cockpit to the bridge provides easy, safe access to the upper deck "porch," where full controls, including bow thruster and room for electronics, provide a convenient helm station for docking and fish-fighting. The interior of the enclosed bridge resembles that of a business jet-rich woods and leather lounges flank the forward helm station, whose twin leather pedestal seats are electrically adjustable.

Familiarity breeds respect aboard the new Bertram 670 Convertible.
By George L. Petrie

The world debut of Bertram’s 670 Convertible was preceded by a thunderous ovation—literally. For a week thunder and drenching rain had soaked Great Abaco Island and the flotilla of yachts gathered there for the Bahama Billfish Challenge. I had wangled an invitation to sea trial the yacht as she made the 100-mile trip from Marsh Harbor to Paradise Island, site of the next leg of the tournament. I figured the lengthy trip would let me put the yacht through her paces in a variety of sea conditions—maybe swells from the previous day’s storms or fresh chop from the next weather front moving through the islands. But it was not to be. Not only did the sky clear, but the wind also died, leaving the sea as placid as a millpond. [ more... ]
